Bella was the only representative from the Southern Hemisphere fly to Austin Texas in February 2020.Hosting 40 of our Global leadership making up the Women's Executive Council. Bella lead them in a two day visioning workshop for what initiatives they would take on for 2020.
Create a culture and space that the whole IBM iX Sydney family want to work in as well as thrive in. Bella took on two roles to support our Managing Director's 4 year transformation initiative as well as build out the Sydney's studio and align it to the Global iX Studio model. When kicking of the role of the Studio Lead she came up with the initiative to identify the 'elephant in the room' to open up the start of a more transparent and open culture conversation.
I was selected to represent Australia at the 2015 World Championships in Canada and 2013 World Championships in Hungry. In total Bella has won 5 gold medals on the world stage across the 2 campaigns. Bella also lead the charge on raising $30,000 for the team to reduce the huge cost it takes to get to the championships.
Leveraging her skills from the national dragon boating team Bella took on a Co-Captain role for the IBM Dragon Boating team. The team is built up of Current Employees, Alumni, Family and Friends. In 2018 we took the team to Xi'an China to compete as an amalgamated team with Sydney university at the World Famous University Championships, where we came 5th.
Bella was chosen to be one of two representatives from Australia to help be a catalyst for the cultural transformation at IBM iX by connecting people, creating communities, and inspiring each other. This is a global grass-roots program leveraging iXers already making a difference locally to streamline this difference globally.
Bella was the Co-Lead of the Global Initiatives Team which connects IBM Millennials globally through events that strive to foster and develop a borderless community. We have a team of 9 coming from 5 different countries organising and executing events targeting over 3000 participants across 50 countries.
For the last 6 years Bella has been a member and now the Vice President of the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club. Established in 1885, the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club is one of the university's oldest clubs. The club boasts 8 picturesque courts located on the university's grounds between Manning House and Physics Road.
