With a strong passion for building an empowered and creative team. Bella took on the Studio lead role to foster a culture that the IBM IX family wanted to work in and produced top quality solutions that delighted her clients. While continuing to manage this role Bella is also an Associate Design Director where she leads and directs the vision of the solutions to the best possible outcome that is Viable, Desirable and most of all Feasible to build. Bella's story began when she graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Design Computing and was recognised as an outstanding candidate for the years Dean's List. Bella continually works across-industries with her clients all over the world. Thriving on innovation and creative thinking as an approach to shaping problem statements with a purpose and aesthetic that matters for her users. Her dual Design and Computing background allows her to create user experiences that are not only engaging, but technically feasible.
In a pledge to design new and exciting experiences for everyone she continually pushes her technical skills and feasibility to build products and services that drive reality into the next era. A beneficiary of this is her company 'Ambient & Co' which she co-founded to formalise the opportunities to design and build these experiences in her ’spare time’. To date the company have produced installations for Vivid Sydney, Asia Pacific's largest creative lighting festival, attracting over 2 million visitors every year. The 1000 Cranes was listed as the 2nd most instagrammable display after the Opera House. The MailboX was also as successful being listed in the top 5 installations for the year. As a result of this success the MailboX was requested by the Singapore Government to be displayed for 'I Light Marina Bay' and became a trending hashtag across all of Singapore for the duration of the festival.
Outside of the office, Bella is an avid Dragon Boater and represented Australia at the world championship in Hungary (2013) and Canada (2015) where she won 5 Gold Medals with her team. Now she uses these skills to co-captain and coach the IBM Dragon boating team that compete every year for Chinese New Year and competed in China for the world championship corporate regatta. In 2018 the team amalgamated with Sydney University to compete at the world famous University championships in Xi'an, China. Since graduating Sydney University listed Bella as a 'Woman to Watch' for the years International Women's Day in 2018. For Six years Bella was also the Junior Vice President of the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club.
